Farmhouse. C17 and C18 with C19 alterations. Painted
timber-frame with painted and unpainted panels set on stone
plinth. Stone rubble cross wing. Plain-tile roofs. Projecting
stone ridge stack with brick shaft to main range now enclosed
in extension. Stepped stone eaves chimney to cross wing with
diminished brick shaft.
EXTERIOR: single storey and attic. 2-window range with
casement windows at ground floor and C19 half-dormers
penetrating the eaves above. 2 plain boarded doors in plain
door frames. Openings all with upper weathering-boards and set
in restored square framing 4 panels high with raised eaves.
Gable-end return to right masked by central chimney and
single-storey range with altered truss showing raised eaves to
front and back. To right are single-storey service bays with
plain door with top lights and side lights set in rectangular
thin-section timber-frame 2 panels high. To left is C18 cross
wing with gable end. Single window at first and ground floors
with segmental stone lintels and multi-pane casements. Rear:
bricked-up ground-floor door set in square framing 3 panels
deep and with unpainted brick infill panels. Single-storey
projecting tiled gabled extension. Cross wing gable-end to
right with single multi-pane casement with segmental stone
arch. Single-storey service bays to left.
