Two cottages and attached barn, now 3 dwellings. 1744, with
C20 alterations. Millstone grit, rendered and incised, with
tooled stone dressings. Stone slate roof and rendered stone
ridge stacks.
PLAN: originally 2 single fronted, double-depth cottages and
adjoining barn converted to baffle entry house.
EXTERIOR: 2 storey. Street front has 4 windows arranged 2:2.
Nos 80 and 82, to right, each have single 3-light recessed
mullion windows, that to No.82 slightly larger with horizontal
glazing bars. Each has doorway to left, that to No.82 recessed
with wooden lintel and glazed door and that to No.80 with
painted stone surround and C20 door. Each has similar 3-light
mullion window above. No.84, converted barn, to left, has
irregular fenestration with doorway to left and adjoining
small window and C20 door. To right single 3-light recessed
window. Above 2-light casement and to right single 3-light
flush mullion window at eaves level. All windows have diamond
leaded panes.
Left return re-ordered C20.
Rear elevation of No.84 has plinth and large cart entrance
converted to patio doors.
INTERIOR:No.82 has stopped and chamfered beam to main room,
also spice cupboard with H-hinges and possible replaced door.
Originally there were interconnecting doors with Nos 82 and
84.
