GV II

Laithe house and attached barn, now public house. Late C18
with C19 alterations. Coursed millstone grit with tooled
ashlar dressings and Welsh slate roof with right hand end
stack, and front wall stack.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Street front has 4 windows. Off-centre
doorway with painted stone surround flanked by single plain
sashes with painted stone lintels, to left 2 similar sashes
and beyond single doorway with painted stone surround. Above 4
similar plain sashes, those to left with painted wooden
lintels. All windows have plate glass horned sashes.
Right return has single plain sash and smaller window to
right, above single plain sash.
Rear elevation has bracketed eaves cornice and 2 storey
extension. Irregular fenestration with at first floor single
16-pane sash window under deep lintel, single inserted 9-pane
casement, two 12-pane casements and 16-pane window with lower
4-panes blocked.
INTERIOR: refitted late C20.
