Pair of semi-detached houses. c1840 with late C20 alterations.
Stucco with limestone dressings, gabled slate roofs and
central ridge ashlar stack.
PLAN: double-depth plans.
EXTERIOR: each a 2-storey, basement and attic; 2-window range.
Symmetrical facades with semicircular 3-light bow windows
rising from basement to ground-floor with moulded copings:
No.20 has plate-glass sashes, No.22 has late C20 metal-frame
units; 12-pane sashes in plain reveals with sills to
first-floor; chamfered quoins to facade and to set-back
2-storey porches, that to No.20 with flat roof and steps up to
doorway; single light above with plate-glass sash; late C20
panelled doorway with integral fanlight; further rectangular
fanlight above set within pilastered architrave with flat
stone hood on brackets. No.22 has late C20 glazed-in porch and
wrought-iron staircase up to flat above with further late C20
door.
