GV II

House, partly used as a photographer's studio. c1800. Flemish
bond brick on ashlar limestone footings; slate roof, gabled at
ends; end stacks with brick and roughcast shafts with
corbelled cornices and crested pots; cast-iron rainwater
goods. 2 rooms wide and 2 rooms deep with central entrance.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and basement. 3-window front. Pilastered
doorcase with deep, projecting cornice and dentil frieze;
fielded panelled reveals. 6-panel door with fielded panels,
middle and upper panels glazed. 2 ground and 3 first-floor
windows, reglazed with late C19 or early C20 horned sashes;
barred basement window.
INTERIOR: flagged passageway. Left-hand block has new stair,
the original may survive in the right-hand block which was not
inspected and which is said to retain features of interest.
