Grice's Wharf

GV II

Warehouse, restored and converted for residential use.
c1850-60. Stock brick with hipped slate roof behind coped
parapet and curved return to west side.
4 storeys, 4-bay front to street with hatchrank adapted as
windows. Small 2-light segmental-arched windows. Similar
details to river front.
INTERIOR: retains timber floors and posts.
For further information see note to No.99 (qv). This warehouse
plays an important part in forming one of the tight, dark
streets leading towards St Mary's Churchyard, and is linked to
Grice's Granary Film Studios (qv) on the opposite side of
Rotherhithe Street by a later gangway.
