Terrace of 10 houses. Early C19. Yellow brick with stucco
dressings; slate roof with stucco eaves cornice (roof
extension to No.22).
2 storeys and basement, 2 bays each (except Nos 20-24 & 29,
which have 3 bays each). Nos 20-21 & 22-23 are paired under
hipped roofs with dividing brick pilaster and paired doors set
back in recessed sections, stuccoed pilasters supporting
entablature to each pair. Nos 24-29 have similar doorpieces
but on higher level and only that to No.29 in recessed bay;
doors with later surrounds and oblong overlights. Gauged flat
brick arches to all sash windows, those to ground floor with
margin lights (except No.24), those to 1st floor with glazing
bars and stucco sill band. Ground-floor windows to Nos 24-29
have console bracketed projecting sills and cast-iron guards.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: cast-iron area railings with palmette
motif heads.
