The Millers Arms

GV II

Inn. Mid-late C18, incorporating earlier timber-framing. Red
and yellow brick in Flemish bond with painted ground floor.
Steeply-pitched plain tile roof with painted brick dentilled
eaves and 2 brick off-ridge stacks.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and cellar; 2-window range. On 2nd floor,
boxed horned 3/6 sashes with moulded surrounds, painted
channelled voussoirs, keystones and sills. Similar 6/6 sashes
to 1st floor. Ground floor has full-width bracketed leaded
hood; canted bay window on left with 4/4:6/1:1/4 sashes; 8/8
sash to its right; doorcase on right with wide 9-panel door,
the upper 3 panels glazed. Wrought-iron sign fittings and
lanterns.
