House. Early/mid C19. Coursed dressed red sandstone; slate
roof with red terracotta ridge and gable end stacks with C19
pots. Central entry plan with rear service wing.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey, 3-bay front on plain plinth. Central porch
of Tuscan columns and simplified entablature contains door of
eight raised and fielded panels with radial glazed overlight
in Tuscan doorcase. Large recessed 8/8 sashes to ground and
first floors with stone sills and lintels. Raised first floor
band and ovolo moulded eaves cornice. Rear of main block and
rear wing have smaller sashes.
INTERIOR: six-panel doors to main rooms and four-panel doors
in the kitchen area. Panelled window shutters, dado rails and
simple moulded plaster cornices.
This house has sustained very little alteration.
