GV II

Farmhouse, now bank and house. Dated 1616; C19 and C20
alterations. Possibly timber-framed, now roughcast on brick;
slate roof with coped gables and rendered stacks.
EXTERIOR: 2-storey, 4-bay front, jettied at first floor and
with cross gabled left end bay. single-storey square porch
extension in angle with cross gable has panelled door; house
door further right is glazed and panelled. Windows generally
are 10/10 sashes, two on first floor in gabled half dormers;
one half dormer being 12 panes with 4-pane wing light. Over
house door is glazed oculus. Tablet in cross gable is dated
and inscribed `A.E.'.
On left return is full-height external stack. Lower parallel
wing added to rear produces a double depth plan.
INTERIOR: exposed ceiling beams and joists, curved fire beam.
Doors on strap hinges.
