Villa and attached railings, now 2 dwellings. c1840s. Stucco
over brick with hipped slate roof and tall ridge stucco and
brick stacks; rear area railings.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basement at rear, 3+3 first-floor
windows. Part to right is set back and has end breakforward.
Stucco detailing includes horizontal rustication to right
part; continuous moulded first-floor sill band; first-floor
windows have tooled, eared architraves, those to right part
have cornices, all on feet. 6/6 sashes in tooled architraves,
those to main part of ground floor have pediments, continuous
first-floor sill band. Central portico to main (left) part
with arched entrances at each side and continuous impost band
with keystones, within a panelled door. Garden facade to left
has 6/6 sashes in tooled, eared architraves, 3 per floor. Rear
has 8/8 and 6/6 sashes, round-arched staircase window with
radial glazing to head; tripartite 6/6 between 2/2 sash with
elliptically-arched recess over.
INTERIOR: 1983 list description notes contemporary staircase
with cast anthemion railings and ceiling moulding in hall.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: rear area lancet railings.
