Shop and offices. 1900, with mid C20 alterations. By William
Watkins of Lincoln for Brown, Hewitt & Co. Brick with
terracotta dressings and slate roof with 2 panelled side wall
stacks. Flemish Renaissance Revival style.
Giant pilasters, those at the angles with domed finials,
enriched moulded cornice and coped gable. 4 storeys plus
attics, 3 bays. Windows have terracotta mullions and transoms.
C20 shopfront, 2 storeys, has a fascia with a full width
glazed panel above it. Above, 2 floors, each with a 4-light
window flanked by single crested bow windows, 2 storeys. Attic
gable has a 4-light ogee headed window with a blind arcade
above it, and a latticed round headed opening in the gable
peak, all flanked by pilasters with domed finials.
INTERIOR not inspected.
The terracotta dressings were made by the Hathern Station
Brick Co. of Loughborough.
