House and attached grotto. c1840, with late C19 additions.
Gault brick with stone dressings and hipped slate roof with 3
side wall stacks. Chamfered plinth and quoins, moulded first
floor band, 2 string courses, modillion wooden eaves. 2
storeys, 3 bays. To left, a set back entrance bay with a round
arched doorway with pilasters and mask keystone. East front
has a slightly projecting wing to left, with a canted bay
window and above it, a triple sash with stepped head. To the
right, 2 sashes with cornices, and above, 2 sashes with eared
architraves.
INTERIOR has a dogleg staircase with turned balusters,
stairwell with cornice and domed skylight with dentilled
border. Drawing room has enriched cornice and Adam style
frieze, pilasters to the bay window, and Classical style
wooden fireplace. At the rear, an attached stone built grotto,
late C19.
