GV II

House, now court offices. Mid C19. Gault brick, with stone
dressings and hipped slate roof with 2 side wall and 3 ridge
stacks with corbels.
Plinth, first floor and sill bands, double eaves band, wooden
modillion eaves. 2 storeys, 5 bays. L-plan. Windows are plain
sashes.
East front has to left a canted bay window, 2 storeys, with 4
sashes on each floor, all with intermediate shafts. To right,
a single window flanked by tripartite square bay windows.
Above, a single sash flanked by paired sashes with shafts. To
left, a set back entrance corridor with a moulded round arched
doorway with shafts and overlight. Inside, a cast-iron glazed
barrel vault.
INTERIOR, well preserved, has Classical detailing,
cantilevered dogleg stair, and good late C19 stained glass
panels.
