Pottergate Lodge and adjoining
boundary wall, railing & gatepiers

GV II

House and adjoining boundary wall. Late C18 and mid C19.
Dressed stone with rendered front and brick additions, with
hipped and gabled pantile roof and 2 stacks. First floor band.
2 storeys, 4 bays. Windows are mainly glazing bar sashes.
Central wooden doorcase with pilasters and part glazed
panelled door, flanked to the left by a sash and to right by a
canted bay window with plain sashes. Above, four 12-pane
sashes. To left, a set back lean-to addition, 2 storeys, with
a smaller sash on each floor.
INTERIOR not inspected.
Outside, adjoining curved boundary wall, coursed squared stone
with slab coping, approx. 15m long. To left, a lower section
approx. 15m long, topped with a spearhead railing. At the left
end, a pair of square ashlar gatepiers with shallow moulded
square caps.
