Saxon Villa and attached railings

II

House and attached railings. Dated 1849. Dressed stone, with
ashlar dressings and plain tile roof with coped stone ridge
stack. Pilastered front, moulded plinth, first floor band,
chamfered eaves cornice, coped gables with finials. 2 storeys,
2 bays. Double range plan. Front has 2 plain sashes on each
floor, with projecting pedimented surrounds, those above with
masks in the pediments. Angle pilasters are topped with lions.
South end has to left a canted bay window, 2 storeys, with
plain sashes and above, a datestone inscribed "Wray, 1849". To
the right, in the return angle, a flat roofed porch with
cornice. INTERIOR not inspected.
Outside, to west, a dwarf stone wall with square piers,
carrying a spearhead railing.
