War memorial. c.1920. Rough- and smooth-tooled granite. A tall Celtic style cross has a smooth-tooled sword in relief on the front and stands on a pedestal with an inscription panel recording names of the fallen in the Great War. The pedestal stands on two steps on the front of which is another panel with names from the 2nd World War. The whole is surrounded by a granite kerb.
The memorial forms part of a very significant group of buildings in Nayland.
