House, now office. c1780 with later alterations and C20
restorations. Pinkish-brown brick in Flemish bond with red
brick arches and stone sills and eaves band; plain tile roof.
3 storeys, 2 first-floor windows. 6/6 sashes throughout in
plain reveals, with flat arches of gauged brick and with
sills. Entrance to left a 4-raised-and fielded-panel door with
fanlight, gauged brick arch over. Low coped parapet.
INTERIOR: retains original joinery including 4-panel doors.
Nos 2-16 (consecutive) Edgar Street (qqv) form a significant
group, together with Nos 28-34 (even) Sidbury; No.12 College
Green; Tower House, No.1 Severn Street; and Edgar Tower,
College Green (qqv). Edgar Street (in which all the buildings
are listed) is a fine example of a Georgian street and it
forms part of the setting for the Cathedral (qv).
