Public house, part of terrace, originally 1 house (left) and
public house (right). Early C19 with later additions and
alterations. Painted brick with plain clay tile roof. End and
party-wall stacks, 2 to left retain oversailing detail; pots.
Timber doorcase. Double-depth plan with entrance directly into
public bar. 2-storeys with cellar. 3 first-floor windows.
Brick detailing includes dentilled eaves, those to left f
different detail to right. First-floor windows are 3/6 and 4/8
sashes; ground-floor are 1/8 and 8/8; to left is a tall 6/6
between-floor sash, probably relates to earlier staircase;
further small 2-light window to left is also between-floors;
all in flush frames; lower windows under cambered arches and
with projecting sills. 6-panel door to left, upper panels
glazed, mid-panels raised and fielded, all four bolection
moulded, bottom pair are flush-beaded; enriched open-pediment,
blind fanlight. Right door is 4-panel, upper panels glazed,
lower flush-beaded; simple pitched canopy on brackets. Rear
elevation ground-floor has large canted bay (blind: 9/9:6/6)
to north and smaller canted bay (6/6:8/8:6/6) to off-centre
south; both with tiled roof; paired 8/8 sashes at south end.
