House, now shop and building society. Late C18 with later
additions and alterations including c1980s shop front.
Reddish-orange brick in Flemish bond with stone sills and
copings, plain tile roof with brick end stacks with oversailing
courses and pots. 4 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. First and
second floors have 6/6 sashes, second floor has 3/3 sashes; all
in plain reveals and with sills and flat arches of gauged brick.
Ground floor: entrance off-centre left a 4-panel door with
overlight in panelled reveals and with renewed surround, glazed
shop window at left. Otherwise shop facade has multi-pane canted
bay between paired pilasters.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Nos 62 to 65 (consecutive) (qqv) form a group of late C18
properties. No.62A (Nationwide Building Society) is currently one
commercial unit with No.61.
