Villa. c1830s with later additions and alterations including
restorations c1990. Stucco over brick to front facade with
painted brick to sides; hipped slate roof and tall brick right
end stack with oversailing course and pot. Double depth plan with
central staircase hall; service range to rear at right.
2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. First floor has 6/6 ashes;
ground floor has renewed tripartite windows with 9/9 between 3/3
sashes; all windows in plain reveals and with sills. Central
entrance: 4-raised-and-fielded-panel door with fanlight with
radial glazing bars in solid porch with round-arched opening on
imposts, keystone and cornice. Returns have 8/8 sashes.
INTERIOR: retains original joinery and plasterwork. Dogleg
staircase with wreathed handrail and stick balusters. Panelled
shutters and shutter boxes. Marble fireplaces; stone flagged
floor in hall.
