House adjoining Tudor Cottage)

Cottage and adjoining house, now one house. Late C16, altered
and extended late C20; mid C19, altered and extended late C20.
MATERIALS: Part timber frame with painted rendered infill,
part painted render. Old tile gabled roofs of different
heights.
PLAN: formerly L-plan of 2 x 2 framed bays, now with
extensions on north and south.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. 3 chimneys. 2 with offset heads and clay
pots. C19 and C20 casement windows, some with leaded lights.
Entrance (west) front: irregular. Timber frame exposed but
with false timbering on single bay, lower extension on left.
One bay gable on right. Centre section has one 3-light window
on first floor, 2 coupled, 2-light windows on ground floor.
C20 planked door in moulded wooden frame; tiled, gabled porch.
Road (north) front: 2 gables with centre section set well
back. Gable on left is blank and end of C19 part. Gable on
right has single bay with 2-light casement window on each
floor, dated late C20. Centre section part of C16 build with
timber frame exposed, small gabled roof dormer and 2, single
light C20 windows on ground floor.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Part originally known as "House adjoining Tudor Cottage" was
listed on 20/12/72.
