Cottage, now house. Late C16, altered and extended C18, late
C19 and C20.
MATERIALS: part painted brick, part timber framed with brick
infill. Old tile gabled roof.
PLAN: formerly rectangular plan of 2 framed bays, now extended
on each end.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys and attics. Ridge chimney on right, with
clay pot. C19 and C20 casement windows. Entrance (west) front:
irregular. Centre section oldest and has 2 hipped roof dormers
with 2-light windows; two, 2-light and one single light window
at first floor. Ground floor has 2-light window with wooden
shutters on left with 2 single light windows on right. Right
hand has single bay extension with platband, 3-light window on
first floor and 2-light window, altered, on ground floor with
wooden shutters, brought from another window. Entrance door
within gabled, enclosed porch within extension on left.
INTERIOR: timber frame exposed with rough hewn timbers, some
principal beams are chamfered with shield stops. Queen post
roof with large tie beams and collars. One tie beam is a tree
trunk.
