Lodge, gate piers, gates and railings to Ascot Place,
Pigeonhouse Lane (qv). Mid-late C19.
MATERIALS: yellow stock brick in Flemish bond. Low pitched
slate roof. Central cupola with semicircular headed louvred
opening on each face, moulded impost band; moulded cornice
with urns at corners, panelled top, finial and weathervane.
PLAN: nearly square plan of 4 cells with gabled outbuilding at
rear.
EXTERIOR: single storey. Sash windows with glazing bars,
rubbed brick arches and stone sills. Projecting rendered
plinth, rendered, dentilled and moulded eaves cornice.
Entrance front, south-west, symmetrical. 3-bay windows.
Half-glazed entrance door in centre with overlight.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
4 square yellow stock brick gate piers with weathered stone
tops, linked with plain iron railings with spiked tops. One
pair of iron gates in centre, similar to railings.
