Barn, cartshed and outbuilding, now disused. C16, altered and
extended C17.
MATERIALS: timber frame, weatherboarded. Old tile gabled roof
of 4 heights.
EXTERIOR: single storey and 2 storeys. Single storey part on
north of barn is probably C17 and contains cartshed and
outbuilding.
INTERIOR: cartshed and outbuilding each of 2 framed bays with
heavy queen post roof truss with clasped purlins and braces.
Barn has 3 framed bays with further narrow bay on south
containing very old baulk stairway supported on 2 raking
beams. Roof truss of southernmost bay has been altered,
probably in C17. Tie beam has been lifted to form arch-braced
collar truss with butt purlins. Floor has been inserted on
large beams for storage space which in turn forms tall
carriageway underneath. Floor boards have been replaced with
C20 boards.
