House. Circa 1830; possibly of earlier origins. Ashlar; partly rendered at rear. Slate low-pitched hipped roof with lead rolls to ridges and hips. Stone modillion eaves cornice, pilasters and stringcourse. Squat ashlar axial stacks with cornices.
PLAN: Main range with central entrance and cross-wing on left projecting at front and extending at rear as service wing with block in the angle.
EXTEIOR: 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay front of main range, the centre breaks forward with corner pilasters and hipped roof with modillion cornice, central doorway [now a window] with stone pilasters, entablature and narrow side lights, tripartite windows to left and right [left converted to doorway] with slim stone pilasters and entablatures and three windows above with louvred shutters; all sash windows complete with glazing bars; wing projecting on left with corner pilasters and tripartite windows on ground and first floors, ground floor with pilasters and entablature. Right-hand return elevation: 2-windows, ground floor garden doors with pilasters and entablatures and 12-pane sashes with louvred shutters. Rear: service wing on right with block in the angle, rendered and with various sash windows with glazing bars; to left of centre tripartite ground and first floor sash windows with glazing bars.
INTERIOR not inspected.
A handsome late Georgian ashlar house, said to have earlier origins.
