1 to 21, PARAGON

A Grade I Listed Building in Bath, Bath and North East Somerset

The Paragon, S end rear elevation

The front of this terrace (3 floors plus attic) faces onto a road at least 40 feet above the ground level at the back. So the whole row is built on massive retaining walls and vaults. One thing 18 c developers did not lack was confidence. Still there 250 years later (despite some attention from the Luftwaffe in 1942).
