Raised pavement. Early C19 with C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Sandstone.
EXTERIOR: Pavement runs full width of Nos 1-20, Caroline Buildings (qv), in stone flags raised on low coursed stone wall, to heavy dragged sandstone flush curb, which dies to road level at right hand end, and ramped down at left. Opposite centre of terrace short divided set of steps. Whole has plain late C20 iron rail at road side. Good survival, and important historical adjunct to houses.
