Terrace house. c1795, altered late C19 and C20.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, C20 slate mansard roof with paired windows to central dormer and moulded stacks to right party wall.
PLAN: Single depth plan.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys attic and basement, formerly two-window range, now with late C19 two storey canted bay to first and ground floors. Coped parapet and cornice are slightly lower than terrace to right, second and first floor sill bands are continuous, ground floor platband. Plate glass sash windows, two to second floor and one to each face of bay that has cornice and blocking course, and moulded cornice type sills to windows. Six-panel door to left has margin panes to overlight, radial voussoirs and keystone dying into platband, to right are similar voussoirs to blocked window. Central window to ground floor of bay also has similar voussoirs, possibly repositioned.
INTERIOR: Inspected by Bath Council 1983, nothing very interesting.
HISTORY: An advertisement dated 25th September 1794 appeared offering `2 unfinished dwelling houses now erecting and shop adjoining situate in Edward Street'. The development was thus a casualty of the building slump of this year.
