Pair of houses in stepped row. c1820 with C20 additions.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, slate or concrete tile roof.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys plus lower ground floor, caused by drop in site from street front. Each two windows wide, all plain sashes, and off centre left C19 door to No.44 and C20 to No.46, with small light to left of each. Small plinth dying to pavement, left, bold stone cyma eaves cornice, wide coped party divisions. Rear has two plain sashes at each level.
INTERIORS: Not inspected.
These houses were probably built at the same time as Nos.18-20 (qv)at the bottom end of the row, with similar detail.
