The Dell, currently has a different nameplate but was also formerly known as Watercress Cottage. Robert Gillard lived here with his family for a number of years c1861 and was working as a gardener. His father, Robert Gillard senior lived next door at Grade II listed Allen's Cottage for over twenty years until hi s death in 1878. He was also a gardener at Prior Park.
