Cottage Row. 1856-7. Flemish bond brown brick, with gauged arches to doors and windows and stone window sills. Shallow slate roof hipped at each end. Southern flank of no.71 is hung with slates on wooden battens. Tall twin chimneys stacks at north and southern ends. Two-storeys, five houses. Two course plat-band at first floor level. 12-pane sash windows survive at No 76; there may be others. Projecting single-storey extensions to rear of each house. Interiors not inspected. Built to house workers at Royal Small Arms Factory.
