Church School, now Church Centre. Mid/late C19.
MATERIALS: Soft coursed limestone rubble with freestone dressings, slate roofs with various stacks.
PLAN: Virtually T-plan with single depth set back side wings and large central block.
EXTERIOR: Single storey with attics and half-dormers, virtually symmetrical five-window range to front block. Label moulds to stone mullioned sash and casement windows, principal windows have four-centred arched lights with rounded tops. Coped gables with moulded kneelers to returns, two forward facing gables that flank central block and three central half-dormers. Forward facing gables stepped slightly forward and have four-light mullioned and transomed windows with small attic window above. Door in recessed three-bay central block has label mould over arch similar to those of windows with sunken spandrels and double planked doors flanked by two-light windows with three similar dormer windows above.
