Public house. Mid C18 with C19 and C20 additions.
MATERIALS: Painted limestone ashlar, C20 double Roman tile mansard roof with moulded stacks to gable ends.
PLAN: Three-unit plan with lower pantiled two-storey wing to left and later wing to far left.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys with attic, five-window range to main block, single window to left wing. Coped parapet returned over gable ends, cornice and ground floor platband, six/six-pane sash windows, those to left-of-centre and right of first floor are paired, and outer ends of ground floor. Narrow C19 central door has blocked overlight. Lower left wing has thick glazing bars to six/six-pane first floor window at eaves level and late C19 horned two/two-pane sash to ground floor. Long left wing in two stages with freestone quoin to vertical joint at centre of rear wall, slate roof and paired six/six-pane sash window to rear first floor of older part.
INTERIOR: Much altered. Basement of rear wing retains C18 masonry from the kitchen range.
