Terrace house. 1764-1770 with C19 alterations.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, rubble to rear, slate roof.
PLAN: Generous town house, with double mansard roof, and entry with staircase to left.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, attic and basement, two windows, all plain sashes, in moulded architraves to second floor, similar but with splays at first floor, and single with splay, to ground floor and basement, with six-panel door in architrave with pediment on pilasters with consoles, left. Platband above ground floor, modillion cornice with blocking course and parapet. To rear property projects beyond those to either side.
INTERIOR: Inspected 1975, retains many of its cornices and architraving.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Across front to basement area simple railings on stone curb, returned to doorway.
HISTORY: The external fabric reveals the staggered building history of the row. The full terrace has broad consistency of detail, with variations in elevation, building was in small sections, marked by straight joints.
