Lt-Gen George Preston tomb

Lt-Gen George Preston (d. 1795). Bath stone with marble inscription panels. The monument, located to the north of the nave, comprises a rectangular plinth with moulded base and cornice, each side of which sports an oval marble panel, surmounted by a heavy pyramidal top.
HISTORY: Preston was late of the Royal North British Dragoons (the Scots Greys). Listed as a characteristically austere neo-classical monument. No 62 on the churchyard plan.
