A view of the ruins of Old Auchans Castle from the site of the old Paddock. North-West facing view. confusion of names is rife - this is actually Auchans, Old Auchans is a ruin further up the track and New Auchans was the Earl of Eglinton's Commissioner dwelling - now demolished.
