Description

Style of Alexander Thomson, but probably by his partner,
Robert Turnbull, 1875/6 "Thomsonesque" Greek revival villa.
2 storeys with basement, 2-bay north elevation with
pilastered or plain mullioned windows, projecting square
ground floor window in shallow-gabled right bay; porch on
east flank, tall doorway with inset pilasters, steps to
panelled door. Squared rubble with ashlar dressings.
Plate glass sashes; band between floors; corniced stacks;
broad-eaved slate roof.
