Description

George Kennedy, 1939. 2-storey, 13-bay U-plan residential
school house; weatherboarded, with walls consciously designed
to lean outwards; concrete base course. Centre 9 bays slightly
advanced; centre square-headed entrance to court with
bracketted, jettied 1st floor centre bay flanked by pilasters
supporting shaped open pediment with long centre window. Tall
1st floor windows in advanced bays with moulded wooden
architraves.
9-bay E elevation, 5-bay W elevation; multi-pane glazing.
Piended wooden shingled roof.

Statement of Interest

Intended to be completed as hollow square court,

but unfinished.

Drainie/Duffus parish boundary fronts house on road and

returns immediately to E along side of building.
