Nucleus probably later 18th century, additions in 19th
century. 2-storey roughly T-plan house. Built mostly of
brick, some rubble or ashlar dressings and additions; all
painted with contrasting margins. Original house: probably rectangular-plan; west-facing; 3 bays; end stacks. Inner bay
either long wall shallow advanced, original blocking at
eaves to east, and main roof swept over inner bay; west wall
raised several courses. Full width full-height bay added to
either gable, that to north not all 1 build and piended.
Substantial mid 19th century full-height 2-bay wing built
against northmost bay of west wall, curved porch in
re-entrant angle with panelled door, sidelights and
decorative fanlight. 20th Century curved low bow inserted on
original house alongside. Corniced stacks; slate roofs.
