Description

Design by Peter Dawson of Barra, builder, 1825; built

1829-34. Simple, rectangular-plan 4-bay church. Harled.

4 tall, round-headed windows to long east wall (modern

glazing), west wall blank, round-headed door with fanlight

in south gable below apex belfry. Straight skews; slate roof.

Interior: renovated circa 1982; simple woodwork; south end

partitioned to form vestry and porch.

Situated at south west end of quadrangular burial enclosure; rubble-built walls, single gatepier with pyramidal cap at

south west; some burial enclosures.

Ecclesiastical building in use as such.

The principal heritor was RC; hence probably, the delay

in building.
