Probably John Loban of Stornoway, architect. Built 1816.
Symmetrical. 2-storey and attic former manse with single
storey flanking wings. Harled. West elevation; inner bay
shallow advanced, taller, and gabled, with piended porch.
2 piended canted dormers. Apex stacks. Wings both 3 bays

Rear stair turret.
Walled garden to east linked to house.
Loban was brought to Barra for "estimating manse" and the
design is probably his.
