Traditional Dalriadic-type cottage, one of a group comprising the original crofting township. North-facing, part of an L-plan lay-out at SE end of group. Built probably late 18th/early 19th century. 3-bay and centre-doored; originally thatched, roofed circa 1990 with modern profile sheeting in place of corrugated-iron which had previously been substituted for thatch. Walls are whitewashed rubble; end stacks - that on west gable a square-section brick flue built against outer gable wall, ie therewas presumably no internal flue on that gable originally suggesting a non-domestic use for the room at that end. At E end, gable-head is reb uilt in brick, NE corner curved, may be simply to allow ease of passage between there and neighbouring cottage. Also, a corrugated-iron lean-to.
Interior completely modernised, sawn-off cruck-ends survive.
B group with other lsited octtages of Ichrachan.
