Early 20th century. T-plan simple Gothic church with 3-stage tower. Red-harled brick with red sandstone dressings, slate roof. Base course, moulded wallhead course, buttressed aisles, battered diagonal angle buttresses, ashlar-coped skews with large skewblocks, gabletted to front elevation and porch; bi- and tripartite square-headed windows, 3-light gallery window with hoodmould and traceried to top, tripartite stepped lancets to transepts, leaded glazing.
FRONT ELEVATION: gable porch to centre with boarded door, splayed jambs and moulded segmental head with hoodmould, window to left and right at main wall plane, gallery window above and arrow-slit ventilator to roofspace; tower slightly advanced to right, base course and corniced 1st stage with memorial plaque, lancet window to tall 2nd stage, corniced 3rd stage with splayed angles and water spouts with wide squat segmental-headed louvred belfry openings, coped stepped parapet, weathervane-finialled slate spirelet.
LEFT RETURN ELEVATION: 3 windows to right, transept gable advanced to left, gabled porch to right return.
RIGHT RETURN ELEVATION: 2 windows to centre, transept gable advanced to right with 4-light window to left return, tower to left.
REAR ELEVATION: various small additions, two 2-light windows to main gable INTERIOR: not seen.
The memorial plaque on the tower is inscribed 'This tower is erected to the glory of God and in memory of the Rev Angus Stewart, an earnest preacher and devoted pastor in Whiting Bay from 1876 till 1903. He being dead yet speaketh'.
