Description

Dated 1877. Large 2-storey and attic, asymmetrical
gabled High Victorian villa; coursed grey rubble, tooled
dressings. Projecting near centre round-arched gabled
porch supported on squat columns serving former entrance,
now window; canted bay window rises full height to left,
terminating in piended roof. Side gabled porch in south
elevation. Single storey and attic. 3-bay wing at north
gable; mullioned and transomed windows of 2, 3 and 4
lights. 1 small box and 3 gabled dormers, corniced ridge
and end stacks; deep eaved slate roof. Coped front
retaining wall; pair square ashlar gate piers with square
caps and simple pair cast-iron carriage gates.
