Dated 1799, probably James Boag; alterations and repairs,
Alexander Maitland, 1862. Simple rectangular church, harled
with tooled ashlar margins; symmetrical 6-bay south
elevation with doors in outer bays; 4 windows, the centre
pair being round-headed; single window in east gable; multi-
pane glazing. Later 19th century bellcote at west gable apex
with weather vane; slate roof.
Interior; no interior fittings remain.
Burial Ground; coped rubble wall (1838) surrounds burial
ground; various interesting tombs and monuments dating from
17th century, including Matheson burial enclosure of 1854.
Church no longer in ecclesiastical use. Parish formerly in
Ross and Cromarty County. The initials M A G
on the dated door lintel (eastern bay) probably stand for
Master Andrew Gallie, the Minister of Kincardine Parish in
1799, who graduated Master of Art King's College, Aberdeen.
