Description

Murdoch Paterson, 1885, Long single storey, 12-bay building
with single gabled canted bay off-centre in north elevation;
painted weather boarding on tooled rubble footings.
Continuous glazed gabled canopy with fretted wooden cornice
runs full length of south (platform) elevation supported
on 12 cast-iron columns with decorative cast-iron brackets.
2-light windows in each elevation; multi-pane glazing;
corniced ridge and end stacks; slate roof.

Statement of Interest

Served branch line from Dingwall, now closed. Converted to

Tourist Information Office and Craft Centre lines lifted

and area laid out as garden, in late 1970s.
