Description

Circa 1860. Asymmetrical 2-storey L-plan with square
Italianate towre rising to 3 storeys in re-entrant angle,
with entrance porch at base. Coursed grey rubble with
contrasting polished sandstone dressings. Paired round-
headed windows in 2nd floor of tower and elsewhere at 1st
floor, South front; 4-light rectangular bay window in wide
west gable, and canted bay in east elevation ground floor,
both with stilted pilastered jambs and lead roofs. Later
projecting sun parlour to left of main entrance with later 19th
century ornate cast-iron balcony balustrade above. 3-bay west
elevation with gable dormer heads, centre gable wider with
apex stack. 2-pane glazing. Deep projecting bracketted
barge-boarded eaves; anthemion cast-iron acroteria in gables;
corniced end stacks with original square chimney cans;
shallow pitched slate roof.
