H-plan steading range of varying dates from late 18th to late
19th century. Centre arm and NW section both Gairloch/
Kintail type hay-corn barns, to NW now infilled with
corrugated iron to form cottage. Cruck stumps survive,
together with 3 wide louvred openings in both north and
south elevations in centre arm. Small crowstepped later 19th
century wing at SW formerly school; apex stack and small
window at gable. Former school abuts long 10-bay range of
cart implement sheds. slate roofs.
South re-entrant closed with drystone wall to form court.
Louvred barns allowed corn and hay to be stored while damp,
and to be dried by draughts passing through building.
