Description

Circa 1800. Single storey and attic, S facing 3-bay house;
mixed rubble with tooled and polished ashlar margins and
dressings.
Centre door behind (possibly later) pedimented portico
supported by paired attenuated Roman Doric columns. Simple
rectangular fanlight to wide entrance; 9-panel door with
reeded detailing to panel edges. Moulded eaves cornice
returning onto gables.
Later 19th century gabled dormers in outer bays and modern
swept centre bathroom dormer rising behind pediment; 12-pane
glazing; end stacks; slate roof. Symmetrical 3-window rear
elevation, the outer windows probably later.
Small single storey, single bay extension with piended slate
roof at W gable. Interior; entrance hall with some alteration
to accommodate later 19th century rear staircase. Room to
left (W) with original beaded window shutters, beaded
panelling to door and simple dado. Late 19th century wooden
chimneypiece and gate.
